What is Red Nose Day?

Laugh Give, Save a Kid is the mission for Red Nose Day. Red Nose Day raises money and awareness to help kids in the U.S.A and around the world that live in poverty. Over a 25 year span, Red Nose Day has raised over $1 billion globally. It’s all about giving back to the community. Half of the money distributed by Red Nose Day 2016 will be spent right here in the U.S. The other half will be spent in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. All money raised supports projects that ensure kids are safe, healthy, and educated.

In 2015 Red Nose Day raised $23 million changing the lives of children all over the USA and around the world. Red Nose Day partners with food banks across the USA and provided 7.8 million meals to children in need. $200 K went to schools for resources they needed to learn to read, and have a safe place to go after school. Over $1 million went to preventative disease/fighting drugs. This aided children, pregnant women and others abroad with malaria drugs, bed nets and HIV drugs. Over $50 K helped children and families with medical expenses. $30 K was spent on providing clean water to families in Africa. Approximately $170 K was spent on life-saving vaccines for children under 5 years of age in Africa.
