Independence day is upon us! It’s time to celebrate with family, friends, food and fireworks. Advanced Park Dental will be closed on Monday, July 4th and will be partaking in the red, white and blue festivities.
Planning your fourth of July celebration can be overwhelming – there are so many amazing events to choose from. The Greater Orlando area has ~ 17 fourth of July fireworks that will be taking place. There are countless parades, family fun day activities, 5k and other gathering to consider as well. Winter Park Residence will not need to venture far for some good ‘ole 4th of July celebration. Here are some activities to consider when planning your day.
Watermelon 5k Race on Park Ave
What a great way to start the day. The race starts on Park Ave at 7am followed by a watermelon eating contest at 8am. There is also a free kids run that will begin at 8:15am. Arrive 45-60 minutes before race time to register and retrieve a running bib. This should get your appetite ready for all the yummy food to follow.
21st Annual Winter Park Ole Fashioned 4th of July Celebration in Central Park featuring Carriage Rides, the Bach Festival Brass Band and Choir.
4th of July can’t get any better than this! Bring your whole family to Central Park between 9am-1pm. Patriotic music played by the Bach Festival Choir and Brass ensemble will fill the air and your heart with pride and joy for our country. Families will enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, kids entertainment which includes inflatables and bounce houses, and free hot dogs, watermelon and water. Be sure to bring a picnic blanket, relax and soak up the fun.
Fireworks
Head to Downtown Orlando for the spectacular Fireworks of the Fountain at Lake Eola. Prior to the fireworks, patriotic festivities will begin at 4pm with food and kids entertainment area. Live music will start at 5pm at the Amphitheater stage. Fireworks will begin at 9:10 pm. Pack a blanket so you may enjoy some relaxation with your fireworks.
